| Despite having only 2 weeks notice and a last second change in
location, 46 Shilohs (including 5 littermates!) and their proud owners traveled from all
parts of the US (Seattle, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina,
Delaware, Massachusetts, Virginia, Maryland, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania,
New York, Illinois, Wisconsin and Ohio) to attend the 26th annual
Homecoming, held this year at the Woodstream Campground in Gainesville,
NY. With a more flexible and open-ended schedule than in
years past, which became even more open-ended due to Tina's
illness on Thursday, every one who attended had a rousing good
time! We hope you enjoy these pictures of each day's events! |
|
The day began with registration and then a handling class taught
by Lisa Barber and Lyn Segee, with welcome assistance from Audrey
Harrison and Shiloh!
Later that afternoon, Lisa with the aid of many of those in attendance
(the friendly stranger, the "farm animal",
the hidden noise, the bell ringer, the umbrella opener, the gun
firer, and the threatening stranger) performed temperament
tests. |

Due to Tina's illness, the scheduled Genetics Seminar was postponed
until Saturday.

Yearly
since 1974, Shiloh Shepherd™ owners and fanciers from across the continent
(and beyond) have had the privilege of attending Homecoming, an event
started by our Breed Founder, Tina Barber, and sponsored, since 1991, by the
Shiloh Shepherd™ Dog Club of America, Inc.
Unfortunately we have not been able to share the original pictures taken
prior to 1998 due to the tragedy that befell the original
Shiloh Shepherds™
farm,
but some of them may still be seen inside of the old
Newsletters!!
Thanks
to Rich Lewis and Karen Ursel, we have been able to recreate ALL of the
recent years, since 1996, and would like to share these pages with you!
